We will be meeting at the Tennis Courts. Depending on heat we may move to a grassy area. Please prepared with waters, a towel and/or yoga mat. We will also be adding volleyball to our workouts too!

To be allowed to come to a workout you must do the following:

- Sign Up on Family ID (only need to do this once)

- Fill out the Athletic Survey after you watch the PowerPoint (only need to do this once)

- Fill out the Screening Survey the morning of every workout (at least one hour before)

Tryout Information:

• 1st day is August 31, 2020
• It will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Wednesday you will find out if you made the team or didn't after tryouts. 
• Monday 4:30-7:00
• Tuesday 4:30-7:00
• Wednesday 5:00-7:30

Please make sure the following is completed: 

• Registered on FamilyID
• Uploaded current physical (must be dated after June 1st, 2020 and needs to be turned in ASAP!)
• Complete the Concussion Seminar and IMPACT testing.
  • You should've recevied an email from the school on instructions for this. If you haven't please contact the Atheltic Trainer (Dwight) and/or the Athletic Office.

CB East Girls Volleyball Try-Out Letter

Hello Everyone!

During try-outs the girls will be evaluated on their different skills by each member of the coaching staff through our observation on our stat program. During try-outs the girls will be seen in multiple positions as we want to give them the best possible chance to see all the skills that they have.

Try-outs are August 31^st , September 1^st  and September 2^nd. The coaches will be keeping stats of every girl and they will be recorded on a master sheet after each day of try-outs. The coaches constantly meet after try-outs to discuss everyone.

The girls will be going volleyball skills tests. The skills will be broken down and the girls will be looked at individually as well as during game play. During the drills and game play each skill will be evaluated: serving, passing (free ball, defense and S/R), setting, hitting, blocking, game play, defense, coachability and attitude, etc. and all of these aspects will be evaluated every day. There will be multiple drills that evaluate multiple skills.

Every athlete will have the same opportunity to display their skills throughout the three days. Each season we start with a fresh slate when making our Varsity and Junior Varsity teams, so just because they were on the team last year does not mean that they are on the team this year. In addition, if they do make the team it does not guarantee playing time during the season.

At the end of try-outs on September 2^nd we will speak with everyone individually on their status if they made the team or not.
