The 4x800-meter relay of senior Carson Wiley, senior Ethan Evans, sophomore Josh Daniels, and senior Holden Emery captured the gold medal on Saturday. Wiley and Evans each clocked personal bests of 2:07.7 and 2:03.0 respectively. Later in the day, senior Marcos Lopez captured gold in the 400 with a district-standard qualifying race of 50.84. The 4x400, anchored by Lopez at 50.7, just missed gold with a speedy 3:25.25; Emery clocked a 49.7 on the third leg with junior Evan Clark leading off with a 52.2 and freshmen Mike Steitz clocking a 53.3 after setting a personal best of 53.33 earlier in the open event. Senior Kyle Dunigan captured second in the pole vault with another clearance of 12'0"; matching his mark from Tuesday.Three miles, senior Austin Hicks (4:54.61), junior Patrick Kleemeier (5:07.24) and senior Zach Carson (5:08.17) set personal bests on the day. Overall, the team had 15 personal bests and six top ten finishes.
